Titus 2:13 tells us “ Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our savior Jesus Christ”. We have this blessed hope even in this present evil world. It continues on in verse14 and tells us Christ gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
We are striving to reach the full measure of stature of Christ as is spoken of in Ephesians 4:13 and be that peculiar people Paul was speaking of in Titus.
Peculiar here means a people that goes beyond the usual. Our vision is that Jesus will have a people that goes beyond the norm of religion and maintain a relationship with Jesus that purifies their heart even as He is pure, as is said in1 John 3:3.
